Setting DHCP Server


Edit file konfigurasi pada /etc/dhcpd.conf
# vi /etc/dhcpd.conf

ddns-update-style none;
default-lease-time 14400;
option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;
option broadcast-address 10.14.5.255;
option routers 10.14.5.1;
option domain-name-servers 10.14.5.86, 10.14.201.9, 10.14.1.37;
option domain-name smiert;

subnet 10.14.5.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 10.14.5.200 10.14.5.254;
}

host pc_1 {
hardware ethernet 00:11:2F:34:7E:CC;
fixed-address 10.14.5.11;
}

Agar service dhcpd berjalan otomatis pada saat booting
# chkconfig dhcpd on

Cara mengontrol service dhcpd dengan
# /etc/init.d/dhcpd { start | stop | status | restart | condrestart | configtest }

Sedangkan di klien untuk mengaktifkan status sebagai dhcp client dengan
# dhclient

Cek IP address pada client dengan
# ifconfig

Installing Depot files on HP-UX 11.23 ia64

Download your depot files from http://hpux.connect.org.uk/ based on your machine type. Download it, for example : bash-3.2-ia64-11.23.depot.gz, put it on /tmp. Install it with 2 option : 1. It will display SAM # swinstall -s /tmp/bash-3.2-ia64-11.23.depot.gz 2. It don't display SAM, so you get quick way # swinstall -s /tmp/bash-3.2-ia64-11.23.depot.gz bash Don't forget to install dependencies for this depot file, it's different from Redhat, who will reject rpm that missed dependencies. HP-UX accept all depots without any warning, but you must install dependencies yourself. You can know dependencies on http://hpux.connect.org.uk/, when you download, look at any dependencies for this depot file.
